Our goal is simple: select a decorative concrete option that elevates the aesthetic of your home.

What is Decorative Concrete?

It involves various techniques such as staining or stamping to create unique patterns, textures, and colors in concrete. Essentially, it's about turning plain concrete into a stylish and aesthetically pleasing element.

Opting for decorative concrete on your patio, pool deck, or driveway enhances the overall aesthetic appeal of your outdoor space while providing practical benefits. Unlike traditional plain concrete, decorative concrete offers a wide range of customizable design options with various textures, patterns, and colors. Beyond its visual appeal, decorative concrete is durable and budget-friendly, providing a stylish yet practical solution for high-traffic areas. It transforms outdoor spaces into inviting and visually stunning areas for relaxation and entertainment.

Decorative Concrete Styles & Materials

Stained Concrete

If you’re looking for a modern, industrial feel, a stained concrete surface may be just what you’re looking for and our custom color options allow us to complement any neighboring elements.

Pea Gravel

Pea gravel - or exposed aggregate has been utilized for decades. It’s primarily intended to be a cost-effective decorative option and is applied to the surface during the installation of the concrete.

Stamped Concrete

Stamping concrete is achieved by applying a patterned, rubber stamp to the concrete while it’s still wet. Once the pattern has been established, a color blend is broadcast and a sealant is applied.

Where We Install Decorative Concrete

Driveway

A decorative concrete driveway can take the curb appeal of your home in so many different directions. Regardless of the direction you choose, it will provide an enhancement to your already beautiful existing home.

Pool Deck

When installing a new pool deck or replacing one that’s in disrepair, accenting your space with a decorative concrete deck is often the most cost-efficient method available in our Texas markets.

Patio

The patio flooring is generally the place where you’ll spend the most time outside and getting it right can make all the difference. A decorative concrete patio can change the emotion each time you step out your backdoor.

Walkway

In terms of “bang for your buck”, adding a decorative concrete walkway can provide about as much value as anything else you could choose to improve in the front portion of your home.

Decorative Concrete Installation Process

1. Surface Prep

While the surface may be altered; the excavation, forming, elevations and raw materials will remain largely unchanged.

2. Tailoring

Each decorative concrete offering has a place in the market and our goal is to determine what fits best in your space.

3. Crafting

All decorative surfaces aren’t created equal and our time-tested artistic techniques will ensure we achieve your desired aesthetic.

4. Walkthrough

Decorative surfaces all require some degree of maintenance and we’ll talk in great detail about what’s necessary moving forward.

Decorative Concrete Costs

There are many site-specific variables to consider before an accurate price can be determined. We’ll need to understand if an existing material is being demoed, how much excavation is required, the depth of the slab, and whether there are sprinkler or utility lines that we’ll need to work around. All of that needs to be addressed before we even begin addressing the decorative solution and final aesthetic you’ll select. Once all of those items have been nailed down, we’re generally able to provide you with a comprehensive estimate at our initial consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of poor workmanship am I trying to avoid?

Decorative concrete surfaces are sensitive and require the right cure times and moisture contents. More often than not, a defective pour can be seen in the depth of the stamp and the consistency of the coloration.

Is decorative concrete a permanent application?

Unfortunately, no. Every outdoor surface will require some level of maintenance and will age over time.

Will my HOA allow a decorative surface?

In almost every case, some sort of decorative surface will be allowed. We’ll be happy to dig in on the specifics once a desired path forward has been established.

Can you match the colors of the brick or stone on my home?

We’d always avoid the word match but we’re confident we can find something that compliments your existing space.

How many projects have you completed?

We’ve completed thousands of decorative surfaces over the past decade and - many of our crews - had decades of experience before that.

What are the different types of decorative concrete?

Most often in Texas, we’ll see stained, stamped, pea gravel and various overlay products.

Where can I use decorative concrete?

Anytime you are pouring a new slab of concrete.

How much does decorative concrete cost?

It varies greatly but, generally speaking, a decorative concrete slab will be a lesser investment than a higher-end paver patio.

How do you clean decorative concrete?

We recommend a garden hose, soap and a little elbow grease. If we install your project, we provide a care guide that details other methods that we support that won’t damage the surface.
